Opportunity News is the publishing arm of MrktPrice. These notes share observations drawn from the same analysis engine that powers the MrktPrice market terminal — presented as general, impersonal market commentary rather than advice for any one reader.
What these reports are
Each report is a dated snapshot of something we noticed in market data: a shift in volatility, a change in how a group of securities is trading, a valuation that has moved relative to its own history. We publish the result — what the data showed and how we read it — alongside the facts and sources behind it.
What they are not
They are not recommendations to buy or sell anything, and they are not tailored to your situation. We do not promise returns, publish "guaranteed" picks, or tell any individual reader what belongs in their portfolio. If we are ever paid to feature something, we will say so plainly.
The standard behind every number
The analysis is built on a few principles we hold ourselves to:
- No fabricated data. Figures come from authoritative public sources — SEC filings for fundamentals, exchange data for prices. When a number is not available, it is shown as missing, never invented.
- Point-in-time honesty. When we look back, we use only what was actually known on that date — no quietly substituting later restatements for what was reported at the time.
- Edges are tested, not asserted. A pattern is only called meaningful after it survives statistical checks designed to weed out coincidence.
- Uncertainty is shown, not hidden. Projections are ranges with confidence, not single confident numbers.
How often, and what's next
Reports publish on a regular cadence. Over time this page becomes a dated timeline of market observations you can scroll back through. The interactive terminal lives on the MrktPrice dashboard; these notes are the written companion to it.
Read these as a thoughtful colleague's market notes — informative, honest about what is and isn't known, and never a substitute for your own judgment or a licensed advisor.
